TYPES OF MEMORY
COMPUTER memory is bacics two types.First one is Primary memory and another is Secondary memory. Primary Memory:- It is also two types(RAM and ROM). RAM stand for Randam access memory it is volatile in nature and ROM stand for Read Only Memory and non-volatile in nature Secondary memory (or secondary storage) is the slowest and cheapest form of memory . It cannot be processed directly by the CPU . Secondary memory devices include magnetic disks like hard drives and floppy disks ; optical disks such as CDs and CDROMs ; and magnetic tapes , which were the first forms of secondary memory.
